Probiotic G.I. is a shelf-stable probiotic blend designed to support gastrointestinal health. Each capsule provides 10 billion CFU of the beneficial bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactobacillus casei, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis and Streptococcus thermophilus. Probiotics are key players in gastrointestinal health, promoting intestinal integrity and comfort. Probiotics colonize the G.I. tract by competing for nutrients and attachment sites, and producing compounds that limit the ability of certain microbes to adhere. Research indicates that strains included in Probiotic G.I. provide particular support for a healthy microflora within the G.I. tract.
Medicinal Ingredients (per capsule): Lactobacillus acidophilus (La-14) 4 billion CFU, Lactobacillus salivarius (Ls-33) 0.8 billion CFU, Lactobacillus casei (Lc-11) 0.4 billion CFU, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (Bl-04) 4 billion CFU, Bifidobacterium bifidum (Bb-06) 0.4 billion CFU, Streptococcus salivarius subsp. thermophilus (St-21) 0.4 billion CFU. Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Rice starch, Hydroxy propyl methylcellulose, Purified water.
Children and Adolescents (6 to 17 years): Take 1 capsule 1-2 times daily or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Adults: Take 1-2 capsules 1-2 times daily or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Take at least 2-3 hours before or after taking antibiotics.
Do not use if you have an immune-compromised condition. Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you have fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhoea or severe abdominal pain. Stop use and consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms of digestive upset occur, worsen or persist beyond 3 days.
