These herbs contribute key phytochemicals to the blend such as sesquiterpene lactones caffeic acid derivatives flavonoids phenolic acids triterpenes sterols flavanolignans (collectively known as silybin or silymarin) and triterpenoid saponins (called saikosaponins). The St Mary’s Thistle component of this tablet is standardized to contain 80 mg of flavanolignans per tablet to ensure optimal strength and quality.
