Avena Sativa is an herbal formula with soothing, calming, and relaxing effects. It is used for nervousness and symptoms associated with stress. The calmative and sedative properties help assist the body and mind in handling stressful situations more easily.
The herbs found in Avena Sativa act to calm the central nervous system and regulate circulation by influencing the vasomotor system. It is effective for nervous complaints associated with the autonomic nervous system including both the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
Each 100 ml contains:
• Cowslip (Primula veris) 3.1 ml
• Dill (Anethum graveolens) 3.1 ml
• Hops (Humulus lupulus) 29.4 ml
• Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) 3.1 ml
• Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) 33.3 ml
• Oat (Avena sativa) 7.7 ml
• Peppermint (Mentha piperta) 3.1 ml
• Pulsatilla (Anemone pulsatilla) 7.7 ml
• St. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) 3.1 ml
• Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) 3.1 ml
• Vervain (Verbena officinalis) 3.1 ml
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: • Purified water, ethanol
Take 30 drops in water three to five times daily, or as needed, or to be used on the advice of a health care practitioner. As a sleep aid: Take 40 to 60 drops (up to one teaspoon) in water before bed time.
Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Consumption with alcohol, other medications and/or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness. Do not use if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family. Hypersensitivity/allergy (Mugwort) is known to occur, in which case, discontinue use. Contraindications: Do not use if pregnant or breast feeding. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have depression and/or related diseases.
