Adrenal fatigue is a group of symptoms related to the stress response system, otherwise known as the HPA (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal) axis. Prolonged stress and anxiety will overwork the adrenal glands, leading to adrenal gland ‘burnout’ and poor tissue response to cortisol. Depending on which stage of adrenal fatigue a person is experiencing will determine how this stress system responds: either chronic high or low levels of cortisol.
The adaptogenic herbs found in Adrenaplex work by increasing the adrenals endurance and overall ability to respond to stress. The adrenal glandular extract provides nutrients to support repair and optional functioning of the adrenal glands. The combination of organotherapy and adaptogens tonify the stress response, which makes Adrenaplex ideal to balance both high and low cortisol levels.
Each capsule contains:
Cordyceps (Ophiocordyceps sinensis, mycelium) 250 mg
Rhodiola (Rodiola rosea) 150 mg
Adrenal gland (Bos Taurus, cow) 150 mg
Schizandra (Schisandra chinensis, fruit) 100 mg
Ashwaganda (Withania somnifera, root) 20 mg
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Cellulose, hypermellose (vegeterian capsule shell), magnesium stearate (vegetable).
Take 1 capsules two times per day or as directed by a health care professional. Avoid taking in the evening.
Cautions/Warnings: Avoid taking at night to prevent trouble sleeping. Do not use if you suffer from a bipolar disorder or a bipolar spectrum disorder. May increase the effects of plants, supplements or drugs with stimulant properties. May add to the effects of angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors. Consumption of ashwagandha with alcohol, other drugs and/or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Consult a health professional prior to use if you are undergoing hormone replacement therapy (HRT), taking birth control, antidepressants or immunosuppressive drugs, or suffering from lung disorders. Consult a healthcare professional if symptoms persist or worsen. Contraindications: Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you are suffering from high blood pressure or arteriosclerosis. Known Adverse Reactions: Certain people may suffer from insomnia, anxiety or excitement; in which case, discontinue use.
